Maninder Vaid (Mani)
I have 17 years of experience in providing Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients in NHS and private settings. I started working with NHS in 2005 and got the opportunity to work in Surrey and London Hospitals. My areas of expertise are elderly care, musculoskeletal conditions, elective and trauma orthopaedics, falls, out of hospital care, post-cancer rehabilitation, palliative care and neuro-rehabilitation. I am trained Dementia specialist and possess excellent knowledge about the condition including the techniques to engage with patients. My expertise also includes providing training to carers, care home staff, family members, equipment prescription, assessment, training and advice. I regularly attend clinical courses, case conferences, training sessions to improve my knowledge and skills. Having worked in both wards and community, I understand the importance of rehabilitation needed to get patients back to the previous level of function and mobility. I am able to strike great rapport with my patients with my strong interpersonal skills. My approach is holistic thus, treating patient as a whole to achieve optimal health. The main objective is to provide quality treatment with person-centred focus. I am passionate about providing physiotherapy treatment in community to maximise potential. In addition to providing treatment for above conditions, my expertise includes therapeutic massage to relieve spasms and pain. Each and every day is a new learning experience and I endeavour to provide treatment based on sound clinical evidence.
My clinical expertise also includes taking on medico-legal cases and writing reports for the solicitors and court cases. I have worked with numerous case management clients and rehabilitation managers.
