We built UkHomePhysio to solve one problem — that getting to a clinic is often the hardest part of getting better. Meet the people behind the service, understand what we stand for, and find out what makes us different.
UkHomePhysio was founded by a group of NHS-trained physiotherapists who kept seeing the same problem – patients who needed physiotherapy but couldn’t access it. Whether through long waiting lists, the physical difficulty of travelling, or simply the burden of getting a loved one to a clinic, the barriers were real. So we removed them.
Today our team of HCPC-registered physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation assistants works across London, Surrey, Kent, Essex, and beyond — bringing the same standard of clinical care that patients would expect from any leading private clinic, directly into the home. Every assessment is personalised, every session is unhurried, and every treatment plan is built around the individual — not a template.
To remove the barriers that stop people getting the physiotherapy they need — by bringing expert, HCPC-registered care directly to their door, at a time that suits them, without waiting lists or unnecessary journeys.
A UK where access to high-quality physiotherapy isn't determined by mobility, geography, or NHS capacity. We want every person — regardless of age or condition — to be able to recover in the comfort and safety of their own home.
Personalised care over templates. Honesty over overselling. Continuity over convenience. Clinical excellence as the standard, not the exception. And the genuine belief that the right environment for recovery is the one where the patient feels at home.
Research consistently shows patients recover faster in familiar environments. We bring clinical expertise to the place where it works best.
Every physiotherapist on our team has significant NHS experience. You get the same clinical standard — without the waiting list.
All our physiotherapists are HCPC registered, DBS checked, and carry full professional indemnity insurance on every visit.
No long waiting lists. We typically arrange a first visit within the same week — and faster for urgent cases.
AXA, Bupa, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Cigna, Simply Health and more. We handle the insurance process for you — just call us.
Every session is dedicated entirely to you. No shared appointments. The same therapist every visit. Your pace, your space.
Call us on 020 8087 3132, email info@ukhomephysio.co.uk, or fill in our short contact form. Tell us a little about your situation — your location, the condition, and any insurance you have. We'll respond the same day to answer your questions and arrange a first appointment. No waiting lists, no GP referral needed.
Your first appointment typically lasts 60 minutes. Your physiotherapist will carry out a thorough assessment — covering your mobility, muscle strength, range of movement, pain, and function — while listening carefully to your history and what your goals are. There's no rush, no jargon, and no pressure. By the end of this session, you'll have a clear picture of what's happening and a personalised plan to address it.
Based on the initial assessment, your physiotherapist creates a treatment plan built entirely around you — your condition, your home, your goals, and your pace. Follow-up sessions are scheduled at a frequency that makes clinical sense. Sessions typically run 45–60 minutes, and the cost is the same regardless of session length. We never rush a session to fit a clock.
We are accepted by most major UK private health insurers including AXA Health, Bupa, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Cigna, and Simply Health. If you have private health cover, your sessions may be fully or significantly reimbursed. Call us and we'll help you check your policy before your first appointment. If you're self-paying, our pricing is transparent and fixed — no surprises.
For patients with complex presentations, medico-legal cases, or requirements for detailed documentation — we provide comprehensive clinical reports suitable for solicitors, insurance companies, case managers, and NHS consultants. We are experienced in case management coordination and can liaise directly with your legal or clinical team as required.

He arrived on New Years Day not long after her release from hospital and immediately gave her the exercises and confidence to get back the mobility she had lost. Now a few months on she is back to her former determined glory. Despite being 90 she is moving well, going to the shops and climbing up the stairs. Sai was incredible.Posted on R RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Abhishek lacks empathy and is driven by greed. We used his company for some months. Despite knowing that the patient had sadly passed away, Abhishek was relentless in chasing the last invoice. We had paid for so many months and I had said to him that we were really struggling emotionally with the loss but that everything would be dealt with. He slapped admin charges and a court fee anyway. I suppose he can spend it on yet more advertising because he won't get business from word of mouth.Posted on Michelle “Shelly” CliftlandsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex has been a god send for my mother who has been diagnosed with parkinsons. She left hospital very weak, unable to use her hands properly or stand. Alex has been working with her on this. She can now use her hands better and has a lot more strength. She has also been able to stand with help from Alex.Posted on Alison BalcombeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex has been absolutely amazing with my 91-year-old father who had been unable to stand or walk for over a year. Alex is professional, friendly, kind and encouraging and my dad looks forward to his twice weekly visits. Since September Alex has helped my dad gain more mobility in his shoulders, hips and knees and even to begin to stand using a frame support. He has been very understanding and flexible in the times that my dad has been too poorly to have a physio session. Above all we value my dad’s improved mental well-being which has come from the progress he knows he is making. We can highly recommend UKHomePhysio. Thank you so much Alex !Posted on ShelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After surgery on my knee I phoned UKHomePhysio and was given an appointment for the same day. Excellent service! Alex arrived, straight away putting me at ease. After a few weeks of treatment my mobility is improving and my confidence in my ability is growing thanks to his patience & knowledge. Alex is friendly, professional, courteous & reliable. 5 stars!Posted on Kambiz DaneshyarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My mum had complicated knee replacement surgery and without the support from Mani Vaid she would not have made a such a swift recovery. Mani is reliable, attentive, approachable and also supported myself and our family. I would highly recommendPosted on Spider manTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Helpful and caring servicePosted on Stephen GrangerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter found this company on the internet. I was discharged from an NHS hospital on the Tuesday afternoon, following complex hip replacement surgery with no iminent NHS support. UKHomePhysio were able yo help and advised that it would be best if I settled onto my accomodation on the Wednesday and I then I have my first home visit on the Thursday. The physiotherapist, Raghu M, who came to see me, and continued to look after me, not only was able to deal with the normal post operative issues, but picked up upon my complex disability issues going back 75 and 65 year, which now impacted upon my recovery. Regular physiotherapy sessions were provided and adapted as we progressed. I would highly recommend both Raghu M, and this company.
We’re always looking for experienced, HCPC-registered physiotherapists to join our growing home visit team. If you have at least 3 years of NHS or private experience and want to do high-quality, well-paid clinical work on your own schedule — we’d love to hear from you. DBS check required. Flexible hours, competitive rates.
