Why choose us

A clinic built on years of physiotherapy where it matters most

UKHomePhysio started with a vision of helping individuals recover after long-term conditions, rebuild strength following surgery, regain confidence after falls, and manage conditions that made travelling to appointments impossible.

Working in an individual’s own territory demands a different kind of clinical expertise. There is no rehabilitation gym to rely on, no colleague in the next room, and no second chance to get the assessment right. You learn to adapt, think critically, and deliver effective rehabilitation using the environment around you.

That experience now extends to our physiotherapy clinic in Banstead. It isn’t a change in direction, but an extension of the service we’ve built over many years. Whether you’re

you’ll receive the same expert assessment, hands-on treatment and personalised rehabilitation.

Home visits remain at the heart of UKHomePhysio, with expert physiotherapy continuing across London, Surrey, Kent and the surrounding Home Counties.

Our treatment approach

Physiotherapy that treats the cause, not just the symptoms

Our focus is not just treating pain. We carry out a thorough root cause analysis to identify the reason behind it. Whether you are experiencing back and neck pain, a sports injury or a joint problem, every appointment begins with a thorough assessment, followed by a personalised treatment plan combining hands-on therapy, targeted exercises and practical advice to support your recovery and reduce the risk of future problems.

One

Assessment

We begin by understanding your symptoms, medical history and goals before carrying out a detailed physical assessment. This helps us identify the underlying cause of your pain and develop the most appropriate treatment plan.

Two

Treatment plan

We’ll explain the findings clearly, discuss the rationale behind the proposed plan and outline the best course of treatment. If further investigations or a specialist referral are needed, we’ll advise you accordingly.

Three

Hands-on treatment

Where appropriate, treatment may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy and manual techniques to reduce pain, restore movement and support your rehabilitation.

Four

Exercise therapy

You’ll receive a personalised exercise programme tailored to your condition, lifestyle and goals. Exercises are progressed as you recover, to restore strength, confidence and function.

Five

Rehabilitation

Your rehabilitation is designed around your personal goals — whether that’s returning to work, to sport, or simply moving more comfortably. We progress your treatment according to your recovery, not to fixed timescales.

Six

Prevention

Before discharge, we’ll provide practical advice and a simple maintenance plan to help reduce the risk of your symptoms returning and to support your long-term health.

Why choose our approach?

Our goal isn’t simply to relieve pain — it’s to restore movement, improve function and help you stay active. By combining evidence-based treatment with personalised rehabilitation, we focus on achieving lasting results rather than short-term relief.

What we treat

We assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Frequently asked question

No. Physiotherapists are autonomous practitioners and you can book directly with us. Some insurers ask for a GP referral before they will authorise treatment, and we will help you check whether yours does.

Your initial assessment is 45 minutes, which includes examination, diagnosis and hands-on treatment. Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes.

We give you an honest estimate at the first appointment, once we know what we are treating. Most straightforward musculoskeletal problems improve meaningfully within six sessions, though this varies from person to person. Shoulders, tendinopathies and post-surgical rehabilitation usually take longer, and we will say so upfront.

Both. Manual therapy is used to reduce pain and restore movement, and exercise is used to make the improvement last. A physiotherapy appointment that is only one or the other is rarely the best use of your time or money.

Yes. Post-operative rehabilitation is one of our core areas, and we follow your surgeon’s plan where one exists. If you are in the early stages and travelling is difficult, a home visit may suit you better and we will tell you so.

Yes. Home visits remain at the heart of UKHomePhysio, continuing across London, Surrey, Kent and the surrounding Home Counties. Our clinic in Banstead is an addition, not a replacement.

Yes. Every UKHomePhysio physiotherapist is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
